THE MONTH OF MAY.

Happy new month guys. Best of luck and wishes in this month. I just decided to share some quick facts I got about the month of May. It’s not all, but at least, we can gain a thing or two. That’s actually not an issue. What matters, is that, we are moving on with the year amid the present epidemic. An epidemic, that I know will soon come to an end by God’s grace. So guys, here are some of the quick facts I saw;

May is the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calenders and the third of seven months to have a length of 31 days.

May(latin:maius) is believed to have been named for the Greek goddess, Maia.She was identified with the Roman era goddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May. Under the calendar of ancient Rome, the festival of Bona Dea fell on may 1. Some ancient Roman observations were also made in May.

Also,special devotions to the virgin Mary takes place in May. In Catholic tradition, May is the month of the blessed virgin mary.

The May birth flowers are the lily of the valley,the crataegus monogyna and the “Mayflower”( Epigaea repens ).
